I'm not sure if this is true or not, but I have heard that these headlights burn to hot to tint them. I don't know what will happen maybe the lenses crack or something. I would ask a tint shop before doing it.

Still work good enough???? I don't know about you, but I want my headlights to work as best as possible. That's why most people buy $60-100 light bulbs or $300 HIDs.

I know people tint their headlights. But in my opinion, that is the dumbest thing anyone could ever do. Unless you strictly drive during the day and never once at night. Than maybe it is acceptable.

Black out the chrome parts if you want to have the Harley look. Leave the part behind the actual bulb reflective so it actually has a function. but I would never tint over the actual housing.

Clearly I'm not going to get a reply from someone who has done it, just saw some pre cut tint on ebay and was wondering if the headlights still shined bright enough. Thanks for the input from everyone who hasn't tried it though..... Sorry I asked.

Maybe there is a reason no one has tried it......dont even attempt it, you are blocking 80% of your lights brightness. So if you are at 1500 lumens with a regular incandescent bulb, you will be reduced to around 450 lumems.
