Default 20" addicts question

I have an 06 XLT SCAB and am looking at a pair if 20" addicts that I found used for a great pice. My question, what size tire would I need to not run? I don't understand sizes very well. Stock with 2.5" level. Looking for an AT it nitro terra. Also will 20" vs 17" stock change overall truck height or is that only dependent on overall tire diameter? Thanks guys

Depending on if your 4wd or 2wd. With 4wd you cab run a 35 if the offset on the rims are correct. On a 2wd u can run a 33, again if the offset is correct. Now if u don't wanna fit the max sized tire. A 33-34 would look great. Also different sized rims won't change the height of your truck. On the tire will.

I agree with what Nick says..^^^

If you are 4x4, Ill recommend looking at a 295/60/20 Nitto Terra Grappler.... 34 x 11.6

Thanks guys. I am 2wd. Is $500 for a nice used set of 20" addicts a good price?

ya thats a decent price assuming there is some tire left on them. I just paid 750 for a set of 20's and new tires. I believe i have 275/50/20, not 100% positive but it comes out right at 33" tires. I had 33" a/t tires with the 18" lariats before and the height stayed the same, the look changed. in my opinion the 20 give the truck a cleaner/nicer look, less off roadish.
