Hello, I just purchased a NCD Customs 2.5" leveling kit for my 2006 FX4. I have been talking to some people and I am getting major mixed reviews.

I have a lot of people telling me the 2.5" will sit the front higher then the back and the 2.0 is a better option.

I am planning on adding 33.5 inch tires (305/55R20) tires to my OEM 20" rims and i need the leveling kit to do so but from what I am hearing the 2" lift will get the job done without any rubbing and it will keep the front level or slightly lower then the back.

I would have to re order the 2" kit and hope to get a refund on the 2.5".

Anybody have opinions on this or pics?

all f150s sit differently because of driving conditions and how old the vehicle is, if you measure the difference between the rear gap and the front gap between the tires and the fenders it will tell you which kit you will be best off with

 

On average, the 2.5" level will leave the front slightly higher than the rear, while the 2" will be more level. Also, the 2.5" really isn't needed unless you want to run 35" tires.

 

I have 2.5 on my 2004 FX4 with 305/65/18 stock rims with no issues. My truck sits nice In my opinion? pics in album.

 

2.5 on mine, pretty level, check it out...Ill take a measuring tape to it tomorrow

 

i bought a 2" rough country leveling kit and it was a snap to install and leveled the truck out nicely, i have 285/70/17R Hankook mud terrains on mine and it rides and runs fine

 

I have a 2" kit on mine and I'm running 305/65 R18 with NO problems but if you already have the 2.5"just stay with it I've seen trucks with the same level and you can't barely notice the front end is higher then the back and if you decide to go to a 35 or if you want to put any kind of bull bar or anything on the front you are already good

 

Thanks for all the help guys. I think I am going to stay with the 2.5" kit because I would like to have the Bull Bar and 35's.

Does anybody know what 35's will fit on the truck with the 2.5" leveling kit and a stock rear end. Or do I have to do the add-a-leaf's?

Any 35's should fit on your truck with stock rims. Where you may have problems is with aftermarket rims and the backspacing. Not sure the back spacing requirements, I'm sure someone else will chime in on that one, but see plenty of people with a 2.5" level running 35x12.50 on their stock rims.

 

like MHC-F150 said any 35 should do just remember your stock rim is only a 7.5" rim that can get a little shady when you start getting into the wider tires as for the back spacing the stock rims are 5.5" this has been my hold up for after market rims I don't want no rubbing and no problems with the tires sticking out Jersey is strict on that
