Default 18's to 17's? (search wont accept)

Cant seem to find the right wording for this search. Anyway, I have an 04 F150 fx4 scab. Was planning on a 2 1/2" as level kit with 33's on a set of 18's. Just checked my current tires (275/70r18) and there already 33". Well I cant justify the kit, new wheels, and new tires if I wont be getting any more tire. SO, Im thinking if I can save some money I would drop to 17's and throw some 35x12.5 on there. Questions are...
1. Will the 17's clear or interfere with something?
2. I will be putting my homesteader plow on this truck also. Will there be adequete clearance or will the truck then be bottoming out on tires? (For the record Im not worried about the plow on the truck. Same plow was on my Ranger for 3 years. If the ranger can handle it the f150 should (If not ford needs to rethink something)

I went to a 17" wheel over 4 yrs ago because they had a better tire size selection compared with 18" sizes. No problem's clearing the brakes with 17's. On a leveled 4x4 don't forget about 34" tires, look better then 33's and won'r rub like the 35's will sometimes.

I am running 17" wheels and 305/65-17" tires with a leveling kit. Clears the brakes, no rubbing issues and looks awesome!

Looks like BFGs to me. Can't tell, but either mud terrain or all terrain. The pic is a little dark.
