18" vs 20" tires

The only reason I would step down from 20's to 18's is to gain sidewall so you dont scrape the rim on the curb as you jump the median
Most of us dont mind getting the 35 on a 20 since we would get 7.5 inches of sidewall, and most of us doing so have lifts to accomodate. Now, if you are staying stock height, and wanting that sidewall for protection, then find someone local to swap out their 18's for your 20's. Someone will jump on it cuz most ppl want to go larger.
As far as the weight difference goes, I think its almost even swap, larger rim/small tire to smaller rim/larger tire. At the most the difference would be 5-10 lbs tops? I get that much mud stuck in my grooves and rims... its not gonna matter.
