Default 0mph?

So my speedo started acting up, every couple of starts it won't read the speed, it just twitches around like it wants too. And when i come to a complete stop and go again its fine, i think it anyway.
Anybody have this issue before? It seems like a sensor issue to me.
Also, possibly unrelated, since this has started i noticed a squeaking at low speeds that speed up and slow with the rotation of the tire, could this be a wheel bearing issue? Is there a speed sensor in the bearing? My ranger used a hub assembly instead of replaceable bearings with a ABS sensor attached, so i imagine this will be the same.
Any thoughts would great, thank you

I would replace the speed sensor. I had a car that would act up like you described the just quit working all together. As for the squeaking, it could be many things, I would take a peer at the breaks first. Good luck!
