Default 08 floppy 4x4 shifter

Hello all. Forgive me if this has been discussed much, I couldn't find anything good using search.
I recently bought a 2008 4x4 dirt cheap (due to it having some issues), that I'm trying to bring back to life. One of those issues is the 4x4 seemingly not engaging. The light will illuminate on the dash but the shifter is extremely floppy. Please see the attached video. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It looks like it's disconnected some where. Could be a $2 fix

Thanks, I'm new to 4x4's. What should I do to find out exactly where it's disconnected?

Pull the boot up on the shifter and check out the linkage. Also, get underneath and check the linkage at the transfer case. Something down there has to be loose. Most of us have shift on the fly switches for our 4x4 so you won't find much info on the floor shifter most likely.

Thanks, I'll let you all know my findings.
