I have been having a heck of a time finding running boards for my 07 supercab. There doesn't seem to be many out there for sale, more are for crewcabs for my year. On ebay, I found 04-14 Ford F150 Running Board New OE 6" Style Nerf Bars Side Steps Super Cab, which seems to be a newer style. They are more rectangular and have black grip stripes. Different than the tubular kind. Has anyone tried this kind on the older 04 to 08 style and liked it? I can't seem to find any pictures of this kind on our trucks either. thanks.

Check Craigslist and if you have FaceBook, check the "Marketplace" listings there. Just last year I found a set of like-new boards from a 2010 that the guy took off when they he bought the truck new and had them in his barn ever since. Got 'em for $75 and the brackets from my '04 Lariat fit the new bars just fine.

Good tips, I've checked craigslist but only have ever found supercrew running boards, which I think would fit, but I may need to drill holes, not sure. Do you have any photos of your 04 with the new style running boards?

Thanks, I like your truck. Those are the tubular kind... I was wondering more about the newer square type, 6" running boards. Do you know what years are compatible without drilling? for instance, would 2017 running boards fit on my 07? So far on my local craigslist, I have only found running boards for 2016 and up.

2015+ are not going to be a direct fit. Anything from 2004 up to 2014 will fit without drilling as long as you get them from a supercab.
