Default 06-08 Body Lift Question??

I know I know, body lifts seem to have a good amount of opposition throughought the forum but I've decided I want to go down that path. I have an 06 screw and want to know if any of you had trouble or encountered any problems during the lifting process. The 06-08 BL package are running around 500... for that I'd wait for suspension lift. I was wondering if there are no problems installing it (not having to extend anything) I have a 2wd by the way, I would buy the body spacers and the bumper brackets seperately and save a bit of money. Anyone running a body lift on the 06-08 models that can chime in would be awesome, or anyone else that knows. Thanks!

I don't have any firsthand experience with a body lift on these trucks, but I do recall hearing they are quite a bitch to do on the 04-08s.
Pretty sure it's similar to most other body lifts, where you have to at least extend the steering shafts, and filler neck tube.

Yep, that's what I thought :/ I saw a how to guide on another forum for a body lift, but it was done on an 02. The author claimed there was no need to extend anything unless it was a 4x4. Hopefully someone who has done one on an 06 can shed some light upon this

It's up to you. I been looking into them for some time now and I decided to go with a 2inch level in the front and 2inch blocks in the rear. I haven't done it yet. It is also cheeper then the body lift that you are talking about. I would think you would have to extend the usual stuff on a 2wd 06.

the leveling kit is the way to go. I have a 2.5 level in the front with a block in the back. I'm liking it so far but looking for some more lift. Not worth putting a suspension lift on a 2wd with this many miles in my opinion

Just curious what would you have to extend on a 4wd? If its just a body lift I would think the only thing that would need extended are as suggested before. Steering and filler neck.

For this year I believe it's just the steering and filler neck. For newer trucks I'm not sure and on older trucks it was much simpler. I'm looking for the 2wd and I've seen people say there's no extending of any sort but I've really had no way of confirming this.
