i have a 04 f150 5.4 auto. drove the truck the night before and all was fine. went to take my kid to the doctors the next morning and went to pull out and there was a weird pulsating noise from below. i stop, put it in reverse and try to back up. it acted like i was against something, so i gave it more gas. finally after i dame near floored it, it jumped backwards and stopped like it was in park. i put it in drive and it was back to normal. i drove about 30 miles and came to a stop. now the truck will not move at all in reverse but will barley move in drive. doesnt seem to be slipping but seems to be binding up somehow. any ideas???

 

Sounds like you blew up reverse. Call a tow truck and get it to a mechanic you need a new tranny.

 

yea you trans is toast...need a rebuild
