04 SCREW VCT fault after towing trailer
2004 SCREW, I've had an issue three times now when after pulling my trailer and race car for roughly an hour and coming to a stop it will start to buck and act like a diesel. The most recent time I was able to pull the code and it was the vct over re-tarded right bank fault.
I've read a bunch of posts here and on other forums where people have talked about their cam phasers or cleaning the solenoid on the vct but every post has made it seem like theirs was a constant problem. Mine has only surfaced after towing my trailer for some time.
the most recent was after towing for close to an hour and then attempting to back into my driveway. I know the engine had a heavy at the point when I was trying to back in as it is slightly uphill but why would this show up only after towing?
Any thoughts?
