Default 04 power window ??

So I went out this morning to leave and hit the switch to roll down drivers window.
It went halfway down then bam it fell to bottom of the door.
Don't do anything now like its not even hooked up.

Anyone ever had something like this happen ?

Any ideals of what could happened ?

I've never had the door panel off wondering what to expect.

the window regulator broke, its common but costs about $100 for a new one, a few have been able to fix theirs including me but i wouldnt suggest it, its not easy to fix the broken pieces, but easy to replace

Well I just switched my manual window to stock power window regulators... I can say this...It is VERY easy to swap in and out regulators....its 5 bolts and bam its out and the same 5 bolts to put a new one back in. It does sound like either the regulator broke or your window fell out of the track.

yes its easy to replace i should have specified more, what i meant as being hard to do is to fix the actual broken plastic pieces and cables on the regulator

Very different opinions on difficulty. Ha Ha ! I've worked on cars forever but I know some of the newer ones can be difficult.
I replaced the glass in one of the back doors. Not much fun but not terribly bad.
Hoping it just fell off track or something. Just seems weird that there was no sign of problems.
