I'm looking to level my 04 fx4.

I've heard several say the 50 kit on eBay is just as well as another ...I looked at the rox 2.5" kit and it said specifically not for fx4.

What varies from 4x4 to fx4?

Anyone care to recommended a good leveling kit for an fx4 that does not require spring compressors?

 

Just installed rancho quicklift on my 04. So far really happy with them. Have to post pics yet though.

I would highly recommend the rancho quick lift. It is extremely easy to install. I have installed it on my fathers 07 king ranch 4x4, my friends 05 fx4, and I had it on my 04 fx4 until the beginning of last summer when I wanted a bigger lift, and decided to go with a 6' procomp stage 2. The quick lift has never given any of us problems. And it seems like no matter which thread you go into as soon as someone says something about a rancho quick lift you hear nothing but positives. I saw the same thing you did about those kits not fitting fx4's. I don't know why, but you can't lose with a HBS kit as FStorm said.



Just to be clear....there's no doubt the the quicklift is an awesome way to level your truck, but there's a difference of about $300 between the quicklift and a spacer type leveling kit. If you're looking at the kits on ebay I doubt you're planning to spend that kind of money.

Also....none of the spacer type leveling kits need a spring compressor. They mount to the top of the shock assembly.
