Hello. Hoping for some knowledge. Last year I moved from Phoenix to Portland for work, and Im getting my first winter storms. 17 years in the desert with this truck. Driving home, I had a chance to use the 4x4hi on road due to snow and ice. *EDIT Sub Freezing temperatures with windchill. (20s feeling like 1 or 0).* Turned on and worked like a champ. stopped my fishtailing etc. Hit the highway and it was clear, so I turned off the 4x4hi. The indicator light went off, but I could still hear the whine / hum of the gear, and as I approached 50mph the engine started to buck or shudder. So I slowed down and tried to turn on and off the 4x4hi, again indicator turned off, but the ride felt like it was still engaged. I have had this problem camping too, going from dirt / gravel / mud toasfault, I could tell it was still engaged.

Pulled over and tried 4x4lo, then back to 4x2, seemed to work. and actually disengage the 4x4.

Most issues I see are the 4x4 not turning on. Any thoughts?
