Default 04 f150 dvd/tv

Did my truck come with this? I've had it almost 2 years and the screen doesn't turn on but the DVD part does. Maybe a fuse? Any help much appreciated

What radio do you have installed? We need that to know if it's correct for that overhead console setup.

Have you tried pressing the "AUX" button to the left of the menu? That is supposed to toggle between FES/DVD and AUX modes. If no auxiliary sources are available, "NO AUX AUDIO" will be displayed. Also, there would be an audio control button on the steering wheel to toggle through.
Another way to be sure is to remove the radio and see how many plugs you have going to the radio. The ones equipped to play DVD's would have three plugs; one for power, speakers, one for the DVD player, and one for the back seat amp (audiophile).
I suspect either a previous owner bought the overhead and planned to install the radio to support it (and found the truck was not pre-wired for the DVD option), or removed the radio and sold it and installed one that did not have the DVD option.

It looks like a stand alone unit. Speakers built into it. Might not be controlled by the stereo at all. Looks like it is independently controlled by the back seat passenger. Might have to take the whole unit out and trace wires inside to the monitor.
