Default 04 5.4 won't stay running possible fuel pump?

I have a 2004 5.4. I drove for about 25 minutes and shut it off went into a store for about 10 minutes came back out started the truck and I stumbled for a couple of seconds at lower than regular idle RPM then stalled and did it over and over. When I turned the key off and back on to let the how to pressurize it would go a little bit longer and then stall again. I'm thinking it's a fuel pump but I wanted to see what you guys had to say and see if you've ran into the same thing.

Lower your spare tire and inspect the FPDM. Do you know if it's ever been changed?

The truck has had 3 owners before me so I have no clue. My brother who was a mechanic and also a Ford guy suggested the fuel pump module so I was going to take a look at that too.

UPDATE. Started the truck right up after being towed and sitting for about 20 hours and she runs like a champ. Turned it off and started right back up.... I'm thinking if it is the pump the tow might have shook things up enough to make it work again temporarily?

Check the condition of the Fuel Pump Driver Module FPDM like Nrivera told you.. it's located under your spare tire normally corroded to the frame rail. This will cause you problems that make you think it's the fuel pump.. very common problem with 04-08. Let me guess.. was it wet out when it happened..

You still need to check the FPDM. Its easy and not too expensive. Also might want to change the fuel filter. If the filter is dirty it can plug up as the fuel runs through it then after time and possibly some shaking the gunk will fall off the filter and it will work again until it plugs up again. I'd lean towards the FPDM first as its a very well known problem with these trucks.
