I'm thinking about putting a cold air intake in. Anyone have any experience with different brands? And is it worth it?

Had a K&N CAI on my truck for a year and a half. I took it off this winter because it has been so cold up here in MN (truck wouldn't come to temp with it installed…screw -30 temps) I have no intention of putting it back on come spring. I think it really only made a big difference at WOT. Definitely made the exhaust bark a bit more and you could hear all the extra air being sucked in. Its for the 5.4L motor, I'd be willing to part with it. If you're interested just PM me. Otherwise, there are a dozen other threads on here talking about CAI. You'll read a bunch of peoples reason why and why not. Ultimately your call in the end.

it makes your truck sound better. A little louder and a little rougher. Helps acceleration a little bit in my opinion but no dramatic improvements.
