Are you happy with your 2010?
I saw a thread about someone asking this about lots of other years and wanted to see how people with 2010, such as myself have liked it so far, any problems?

I was happy with our 2010 XLT.............but we LOVE our 2012 Lariat Plus EB...........the 5.4 is a fine engine that is a real workhorse -- but occasionally sounds like one.

I had one until about 10 days ago. I got to not liking the rear doors with the kids (supercab). Rearend needed fixed twice (got rearended, pretty sure it chipped a tooth on the 1 spidergear, broke down about 6 months later. Dealer fixed / replaced just about everything in the pumpkin but the ring/pinion gears. they started humming recently, so those got swapped). also developed a bad habit of leaning in the truck on the console, was hard to see due to my height. didn't have a power seat on the STX. Liked the color (Blue Flame), wish the new truck had it, but was time for a change. Finished up the divorce after fighting 18 months in court. Ex helped pick that truck out, too many memories, & I'm primary guardian for the kids (2/3rd of the time). So it was time for a change. Never got the MPGs advertised either, but I had not walked around the lot & test drove the EB I'd still have my '10.

Bought my 2010 last thanksgiving (2nd owner). I couldn't be happier with the amount of power the 5.4 gives off. Can pull anything I need to. My only complaint is that the 2010 models towing mirrors don't have the power folding option to get it into the garage without worries. Oh well, GREAT truck.

Love my 2010...no major issues. Had her on numerous long distance trips and it was an absolute joy to travel in. The old 5.4 runs like a champ and has never let me down.
Drove down to Tennessee from PA with a large open trailer, bought a 1970 Mach 1 and hauled her back. Didn't even seem to be working her all that much. I would haul with my F-150 any day of the week over my '97 Ram 2500 Cummins.
I know these newer models have some refinements and motor upgrades, but it would take more than that to convince me to trade in such a trouble-free reliable vehicle.
The only issues I had was the common leaking 3rd break light and a goofy radio issue. Both fixed easily under warranty. No issues since!

In all reality, the 2010's were the second year of the newer body style, so Ford had a year to work out any issues -- since the 2009's were brand new......and then Ford REALLY changed everything up with the 2011's and their engine lineups -- and some of us are still dealing with those issues, although the 6.2 appears reasonable bullet proof.
The 2010 owners have it good --- you just don't hear people here coming on here very often to complain about any part of those trucks!

Happy with our 2010 so far.
It does all we need it to do. Sure, some more power would have been nice the other day for a long haul tow of my pontoon boat but for 99.9% of the time, the little 3v V8 does fine.
The only issue I've had in just over 3 years is the torsion bar in the tailgate starting to clunk due to the plastic bushing coming loose. Warranty was denied as the truck was 3 years and 2 days old.... It's an easy enough fix but I haven't bothered yet.
