Default You can't make it up!

656.1 miles on one tank of gas in a 2009 4.6 liter V8 3 valve six-speed transmission with a 26 gallon tank! Drove posted speed limits, 70 mph for most of the trip.

Interesting... Before hearing about the aerolid, I was thinking on how to adapt an H3-T shell to the f150...

About how much is one of them?

If we ever get things off the ground, retail will be about $2200.00. Alot I know but if you figure I went 656.1 miles on the second leg of the trip it saves you money. My truck is rated for 20 mpg. That means I would have only gone 520 miles on a 26 gallon tank of gas. I went 136.1 miles further than I would have driving my truck with an open bed.

So you divide 136.1 by 20mpg = 6.8 gallons of gas. Lets say gas is $3.50 a gallon. 6.8 x $3.50 = $ 23.80. You will pay for the lid pretty fast with this kind of savings.

It is a 4x2 Supercab XLT, 6.5 foot bed with a 3.31 ratio regular axle. Michelin low rolloing resitance tires, 2011 front air dam.

Welp, we are all entitled to our own opinion so I'll be the one to throw mine out like a 9th inning fastball! That is hideous...you couldn't pay me to take one. This is for the kind of person who turns the milk carton upside down to suck every last drop out of the bottle. I bought my truck because it is sexy, this makes it look like an oversized Prius.

Can't see myself putting something like that on my truck - it kinda ruins the look of the whole thing.
