Default Yep Another HID thread..

Ive used Hid kit in my last car and bike. On my car the bulb had a shield to make sure i dont blind people. On my bike it didnt but i wanted to make sure people see me .. SOOO i took a look at the f150 headlight and realise there were some kind a shield in it .. If i put a hid kit in it will it blind people (probably) but i mean will it be crazy? should i get a kit with shield or it will be totaly useless because of the one in the headlight.. I took my father's car yesterday and he has projector with hid in it... when i took the truck, the difference is crazy!!

Yes, the glare will be bad. The shield doesn't do anything about glare, and because the F150 reflector is a dual-beam reflector (it has 2 focal points for high and low beam on the same reflector) glare is terrible because aftermarket HID capsules miss these focal points and scatter light everywhere.

You noticed your dad's car with projectors was awesome, you can have that on the F150 too. Search "projector retrofit" or read over at hidplanet.com for ideas. My gallery has some examples.
