Default Wrench light

So I was told my wrench light is on because I need a new accelerator pedal assembly. Besides the dealership which will take a week to get no place local has on or can get one. Napa had one that was supposed to be for my 2010 but it was wrong and didn't fit. I found one at tasca online there are two different options with about a $100 price difference the cheaper of the two has notes saying it is for adjustable pedal ( which I have) and memory (which I don't have). The other notes are adjustable pedals with out memory. My question is does any one know if the cheaper of the two will work. The websites says they both will fit but it seems strange the price difference. Part numbers are the same just different letter on end. Any help greatly appreciated

Maybe find someone who has one with memory and just swap it to see if it works?

Speculating here but the adjustable pedals have a jack screw that is turned by a motor controlled by a switch. The adjustable pedals with memory also need a position sensor so that the system can tell the position of the pedals. Otherwise they could be the same.

Where the heck are you at that it takes a week to get a part?

At my dealership in central Texas, it doesn't matter if the part is in Dallas, Houston, or even Memphis, it's next day, and that's if we order direct from Ford. We can also order from 7 other dealerships and a local authorized Ford parts wholesaler and have it next day.

There's almost nothing Ford that we can't have the next day.

Sounds like you need to find another dealership.

Ain't it a geographical oddity! One week from everywhere.
