FWIW. The re-generation crap on the diesels (at least the Cummins and Duramax) appeared at the mid point of 2007. So they are often referred to as 2007.5's. The 5.9 Cummins was still available for the first half of the 2007 model year and the Duramax LBZ engine was also offered in 2007 MY 'Classic' model.
I don't know about the Powerjokes of that era because they were never a viable option.

I just ordered a new FX4 through Saxon Fleet Services and he was able to order mine with a 3.55 axle for $470.00 extra.

I have found a buyer for mine. The grumbling will end. I am not going to a new 5.0/3:55. I am going back to a used 2007 Cummins or Duramax 3/4 ton. Both pre-emission, both proven performers.
Good luck with whatever vehicle you get. I have always found, no matter what car or truck I have had, that I get about 3-4 MPG less than the window sticker in my daily driving - lots of waiting for traffic lights, stop signs, cars turning left in front of you blocking the road, etc. Takes lots of gas to get these things back up to speed. My next door neighbor with his F-350 Powerstroke gets lousy mileage locally, too. Especially with a gasser, it's a matter of where you drive, how you drive, and how much you handicap the truck with mods like lifts, bigger heavier tires, and heavier loads. You're towing some heavy loads with poor aerodynamics with your EB, so I'm not surprised at your mileage, especially if you were doing it when you had the larger tires mounted.

As I said, good luck with whatever vehicle you get into next.

So you're losing $23,000 dollars on your truck? Can I come work for you?

Hmmmm I didn't know you could special order stuff like that. I wish I could have ordered mine with a L/S rear.

Actually, yes.
And I am getting it!
I drive this truck way more than my old one and I'm still ahead with my gas budget at the end of the month.
Love my Eco!!
