Default Word "TEXT" on multi function display

2012 FX4 without NAV. I am seeing the word TEXT on the screen to the right of the 6 CD circles. It does not seem to be related to text messages. What is it?? The Sync documentation is brutal.

No, I think that's the button with the word text on it they are referring to. I am referring to the display showing the word "text" on it.

I believe it is for your Radio/CD/MP3 to show text info, like song playing, so forth.

I don't think its that either because radio wise its RDS that enables that and shows up when a station is sending that data. I have never put a CD into it (what is that anyway :-) ) and never plugged in MP3 storage.
