It all depends on your tastes. There is a LL around here with a toolbox. Every time I see it I cringe. I am sure he uses it and likes it. He probably looks at my LL and wonders why I haven't put one on mine.

I personally only like the low pro ones. Not really into the high boxes. Unless of course you have a definite use for one I say lose it

If it's not a work truck get rid of it. That 5.5' bed is even smaller with a box in it.

+1 on the low pro. also for me its gotta be black. i'm just not a fan of chrome boxes, i like my box to blend in

I personally like the tool box style that you have and have had one in every truck I have owned. However, I have never owned a truck with less than a 8 ft bed. All Superduty's. This is my first truck with a 6.5 ft bed, so I went without the tool box. How in the world can you get by with a 5.5 bed and tool box. No room left except for groceries. But that's just me. Looks wise it's fine. It all comes down to what you need for space.
