Default Wiring harness for mirrors

I've got a 2010 Screw. I'm looking to buy some new mirrors with turn signals, heated, and puddle lights. My question is what is the correct harness to buy? My truck currently doesn't have puddle lights but does have turn signals/heated. I've been told there is a harness for this conversion.

My truck is a '10 Lariat which didn't have puddle lights. I change the mirrors out to power fold which did have puddles and they worked with no modification. The power fold on the other hand was more difficult ( as has been discussed in the past)

So your saying the harness that came with your new mirrors worked with the harness on your truck. And that the puddle then worked when you open and shut the door? Only reason I ask is because the "parts expert" at 1Auto said that the only thing that would work would be what my truck is equipped now.

I installed Ford OEM mirrors, like the Platinums, and no additional harness was required. The puddle lights worked with no further changes. They come on when I open the doors and when I hit the remote lock/unlock

the wiring harness issues i believe only for putting the new mirrors onto the 04-08 trucks. at some point, Ford decided to use a common ground for all of the mirror features, whereas the older mirrors had multiple grounds. So, they had to swap the pins around within the connector, simple as that!

for your truck being a 2010, you should be plug and play!

Ok thanks for the info. Are the platinum mirrors different than the tow? Here are the ones I've looked at. http://www.1aauto.com/1A/Mirrors/For...RP00618/511989

They will work by just plugging them in. The 1Aauto guys have to claim that they only work with functions the truck came with but they will plug up and all functions will work. The only thing is the power fold, you would have to find a switch and modify to make work.

Default 2010 F150 Lariat mirrors

I just want to verify before I purchase mirrors, I have a 2010 F150 Lariat, I want to purchase mirrors with turn/running/puddle lamps. My questions are: Does the existing wiring harness support these features? Would they be plug and play? And, the mirrors that came with the truck do not have the heated function, if the mirrors I purchase have the heating option, would it work with the existing wiring harness and how does the heating option get turned on? Thanks!
