Default Wires from door to interior?

So Im adding parking light leds to the front reflector on my side mirrors. I tried searching things like 'wires from door' and light side mirror' but I had less than stellar results. How have you guys fished wires from teh door to the interior for things like this? Unless there's a hot wire I could use already running to teh door.. but I find that unlikely since this truck didnt have any features but the typical power mirrors/window.
thanks

Egad! I just watched some kids video on youtube doing this.. he ran a hot power wire up underneath the door seal and kinda strung it along looping thru various other wires along its way to teh passenger side kick panel. I seriously hope thats not the only way to accomplish this without removing the entire door to drill and grommet a hole.

Ok well I got them installed and working.. with no suggestions I pulled the door seal off and drilled a hole through as far from the edge as I could get.. smoothed the steel with a file and ran the wire through after forming a sort of wedge on it with elec tape. They look as epic as I had thought they would.

FYI in my 2009 the wire I tapped into was Purple/orange.

I’d be interested in pics and a write up for the rOuting of the wires. I want to add powerfold mirrors, but have the molex connector at the door and can’t run the folding wire through the existing conduit.

In their 'How To' 1A Auto says that sometimes you can fit the wire through the connector opening, but in some cases it just won't work. As an alternative they route around and under the weather strip. It starts at about 4:30 into their 'How To Video'

Plenty of info on the this site on that. That molex pos is the worst design ever. There was literally nothing wrong with the way the wires used to be run through the door. I just did the drivers side of my Tremor this weekend for the powerfold mirros..........what a GOD awful experience. The parking brake is a pain to remove, took a half hour to find the damn bolts..........the 3rd one is behind a metal bracket and half the bolt head is covered by a wiring harness. The connector itself screws out but is a b**** to get back in............ got to do the passenger this weekend which requires removing the fuse panelllllllll ugg. but it will be pinned using oem connectors so theres that.

Is this molex connector an older or a newer method for Ford? When I installed the power fold mirrors on my 2013 XLT, I was dreading that connector after watching the video I posted above, but was pleasantly surprised to find nothing but a rubber pass through/tunnel in which the wiring was simply run through inside. I fished my mirror wiring through it with a simple straightened coat hanger. No muss no fuss.

Must be a fancy method. My 2013 FX4 has the connector.

Either that or it's to make it more convenient for those frequent door removals required on the higher end models.

I did see something similar (Not A1) where the guy was able to drill a tiny hole through and through that huge connector. IDK I just couldnt see any way on mine. The hole I drilled in both sides allowed me to run the wire behind the kick panel.. only place you can see it is in the doors armpit.
