Default Winter lug nuts

I am thinking of using spline drive lug nuts for the winter as I bought replacement OEM style nuts for my OEM alloy wheel but don't want them to rust over the winter and I am assuming this is perfectly fine to do? The wheels seems to have a 60 degree cone seat as do the spline drive lug nuts so using them is not a problem? I took picture of the oem lug nut on the seat and the spline lug nut and the extra surface on the oem lug nut seems to be used only on the oem alloy wheel.

ya I know they are rusty, one of the cons of living in a salt belt.

The picture above is the Ford OEM lug nut but the ones I will be using in the summer time are these one piece aftermarket ones. They are expensive but cheaper than oem or gorilla for me and the spline nuts are cheaper to replace if they end up rusting for winter use.
