Winter is coming...Ziebart/Rustproof?
Anyone with these newer model (especially those who bought within the last 6 months) have or plan to Zeibart or rustproof their truck?
This isn't to find out how your old vehicle from the 80s or 90s got it and how it held up. I want to find feedback from those who has done it on a newer truck/vehicle. This is because many believe newer vehicles have enough rustproofing in them out the door.
If you don't believe it in it and all and have stuck to regular car washes, please comment.
Or you believe it in it, but have a DIY solution instead, please comment.
FWIW, Ziebart here quoted me $450 by end of the month to do my truck with the full rust protection w/ 10 year warranty. I am on the fence and I can't find a ton of recent feedback involving newer vehicles. It is also delaying my wheel well liner install.

The very first thing I did when I bought my truck was have it undercoated and rustproofed at TST. It cost me 400 plus tax. It has a lifetime warranty on it and I can take it back once a year to have it touched up if needed. It is worth it if you live in a place that likes to use salt.
Well, mine is only a 2011 that was purchased in Feb of 2012. I did not have any 'rustproofing' done. I do prefer to wash as regularly as I can but I also tend to avoid commercial car washes as many of them recycle their water and since salt dissolves in water, I really prefer not giving my truck a high pressure salt-water bath on a regular basis.
