Default Windshield distortion

I had to drop mine off at the dealer this morning with a check engine light and a "popping" noise when I put it in reverse. I also asked them to change my windshield because it is very distorted or wavy vertically. I haven't seen another one like it until today, when I parked next to a Taurus. It isn't very noticable looking straight through but if you look at an angle, you could get seasick. Anyone else have a windshield like this?

BTW, I got used to the power and this Chevy rental is very sluggish, even with 1.3 more litres.

Yes...looking out the passengerside of the windshield at an angle, mine also has these waves you speak of. Just noticed it 2 days ago actually

Default Feeling your pain.

My selling dealer did the same song and dance when I took mine in because the brakes felt mushy and the A/C took awhile to cool of the inside of my truck. A/C pressures were within spec's and the temp coming out of the vents was in the comfort zone. Low brake pedal was normal. Also asked them to look at my tailgate straps-1 was taunt and the other side had slack in it with the gate down. Opps, a small ding in the rear bumper was at fault. I got a thank you and you will be recieving a survey in the mail, bring it to us and we'll give you a free oil change. I measured the straps and 1 was longer than the other. Why would anybody want to buy an extended service plan from Ford is beyond me. If they won't fix it under the original warranty why would anything be different later on down the road.

The distortion will not go way. Its the angle that the windshield is molded. Its odd and has odd curving to it. I tinted my front window, after that i noticed the distortion. I thought it was the tint so i made the tint guy take it off and prove it to me. Well he did and i paid him 80.00 more to re-tint it.

Well, you guys may want to call them on the windshield distortion. I had a crack in mine (from hitting a crow) but the service manager sent the pics of the distortion to Ford. They won't fix it because it's cracked but I would push the safety aspect of that windshield. Mine is pretty bad. This is a company truck and a glass company is replacing it because the crack "can't be covered with a dollar bill".
