i own (i.e. bank owns) a 2009 SCAB bought in Aug 2009. I noticed a crack in the windshield right in front of the steering wheel. It looks like it started to crack right from the bottom edge of the windshield. It was only 4 inches in length so i ignored it. Now a crack formed at the top of the windshield and is working it's way down to the first crack. funny thing is the two cracks end without connecting. Could this be a defective windshield? Anyone else have this issue?

 

it could be defective or it could've just got chipped coincidentally in two similar places that started the cracks. No matter what it is you should get it fixed soon cause it sounds like those are some pretty big cracks. If you want to say its defective the best approach is to go into your Ford dealer and be as pleasant as possible (I know its hard) when asking them to look at it and if its defective an even better thing to do is if you know of any places that do windshield repair/replacement to go and ask them about it before you go into the dealer that way when you're talking to the dealer about it you have someone/something backing you up.
