Default Window Tint Recommendation in PA...

Hey Guys... a few Quick questions for you...

I have a 2011 FX4 with the factory tint on the back and rear-side windows and I want to get both door windows tinted to match... from doing a few searches on the site, it looks like 20% would match the best... my question is...

- Is there a "legal" limit permitted in PA...? I am an ex-state inspection mechanic and the law then was that you had to be able to see the driver clearly day or night. Short of asking a state trooper does anyone know if there are anything written in the books....?

- I'm just outside of Philadelphia in (Bucks County PA), does anyone have any good recommendations on a shop that does it..? name/price...?

THank you for your help...!!

Pretty much anything other than factory can be considered illegal in PA if you get the wrong officer on the wrong day. That said - most shops I've talked with said 35-45% is the sweet spot on not being hassled. Anything darker and there's a good chance you'll get crap about it.

15-20% is a good match. As far as the "law" is concerned its really not very clear in PA

I ran 30% all around on a Subaru for about 2.5 years before leaving PA...I was on the Western side of the state so can't recommend anything though.

The place I did go to warrantied it for life though....about 4-5 months in one of the corners on the drivers windows came loose and peeled up about 1". I stopped in and they pulled the whole thing off and replaced it. No questions asked.

Yeah... I saw that before posting and to your point, its NOT very clear what so ever..

Either way, I will still proceed and get it done... but figured I'd ask if anyone knew... hopefully I'll get a few recommendations on a place near me...

Thank you again...!!
