I'm guessing that you'll be shopping for a new vehicle. Was another vehicle involved?

Yes, a 2005 BMW 325XI driven very fast by a teenager. I hope they total it, and if they do, thank God for gap insurance.

Why do you say that it was your fault then if it was a teenager behind the wheel of a car that he/she probably should not have been? Unles you ignored a stop sign or red light, he hit you.

He was going straight, I had an unprotected green. My word against his on the speed he was going. No doubt he was not paying attention, but my fault for pulling in front of him.

I'm curious to hear if they total it given the front end is in such good condition. Maybe you'll get really lucky - a new truck and a lower payment (if you're relying on the GAP).

Looks like you managed to salvage the rubber floor mats. Sweet! (See second pic.)

Seriously - glad everyone's okay. Don't beat yourself up. The insurance company will probably do plenty of beating, so no need to add to it.

Took the words right out of my mouth!!!

BTW, it not nearly totalled, They can straighten the chassis right up, new box and rear end and you're on your way. About 6-7K job.
