It's not a good idea to keep your touch up paint in your glove box. The heat of summer will make the paint break down or evaporate and it could leak as well.
I don't even keep my touch up paint in the garage. It stays in the climate controlled house.
Chip touch up trick: Don't use that stupid brush. Dip a toothpick in the paint and wipe off most of it and just put a tiny bit on at a time and fill in the chip that way. Takes a lot longer, but no blobs!

I live in Saudi Arabia and the front half of all vehicles have been dulled and worn prematurely. We are talking all the different automobile makes from Lambos, Ferarris, Mercs, Rolls, to the Kias, GM, and Fords.
Some drive around with what looks like a protective layer of spray paint on their brand new Lexus' and Mercedes!
3M clear vinyl is very popular here and can be done on the cheap too. Not so much in the states.
It blows my mind seeing a BRAND NEW $100k AMG Benz with this nasty *** spray paint looking crap covering the front half of the car.
BTW, they do that to protect the original coat from the sand storms. I know we are talking about rock chips but figured I'd toss this in anyway.
