Default Why install a rear block?

I get leveling a truck (I did mine too) but I don't understand why people put in rear blocks. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of a level? If I added 2.5" in the front. Made it level then added a rear block wouldn't this just give me back rake that I didn't want? Also I do understand people wanting rake for hauling/towing, but if your worried about that why would you level it in the first place?

A lot of people level a truck for bigger tires and too look better/more aggressive. The rear block keeps a little, not as much as stock, rake in the truck.

I think a truck with a little rake looks 1000 times better than stock or just a front level.

Leveling isn't strictly limited to leveling the front and rear. It is also an inexpensive and quick lift when combined with bigger tires and a bigger rear block. Ya know, compared to spending $1500-$4000 in parts and labor.

I leveled my truck for lift, not to level. That's why I installed rear blocks. I'm not a fan of *** low look, which is why I lifted the rear too. And now when I hook my boat up its perfect!

First off I'm with ya , probably for a different reason ...I need a lift for use not looks .... I still don't see why you need to add a rear block unless you like a little rake . My 2013 has ProComp pro runner 2" coil overs in front and a set for the rear(not coil overs)... No block .... my truck sits level with the boat (17.5 Alumaweld Stryker) and without , sits level and definitely not high enough , launching in the river is a b**** when the water is 3 " past the bottom of my doors all 4 , good door seals thank god ... We make our own ramp were we can ... No public boat ramps on the San Joaquin this far up so I'm screwed until I can afford some wheels and tires ...
The fish are hittin so I'm fishn .. no matter how tough it is to get there !
