Default Wheel Spacers

Has anyone put on wheel spacers I'm getting the idea to do it since I don't have much of an offset and want to put fender flares on any suggestions?

Yes, I have 1.5'' spacers on my factory 20's. It brings them out nicely. Go with a well known, quality wheel spacer. I chose BORA spacers.

50% will say theyre fine, theyve driven 3,000,000 miles with them on and towed 19 tons with them on and never had an issue. 50% will say theyre dangerous and youre nuts.

Ran them for 2 years with zero problems. Mine, however were 1.5" Boras. I would be tenative with going much further out than that as you do put more stress on your lugs and put an extra point of failure into the system. 2.5" is pretty far out there.

Thank you for responding I think I will get 1.5 I was able to find fender flares that are 1.5-1.75 inches wheel coverage so with the spacers I should be looking pretty good

NP. With the stock wheels I was sticking out approx 2 inches. That is with Nitto Terra Grapplers in 295x70r18. I had the bushwackers on and they just covered the tires. I now removed the spacers and installed the wheels/tires in my sig and they sit just a fraction outside my bushwackers so the spacers simply werent needed any more.
