I'm a litte confused here. Why are you guys calling them spacers and adapters? Adapters are when you change the bolt pattern. A spacer is when the bolt pattern stays the same. Spacers come with studs when they reach a certain thickness, this is the only reason. If you're buying 1/4 or 3/8 then there's no need for studs as they are thin. This would actually be the best option to reduce vibration.

Some people like to really argue with wheel spacers and adaptors. But I used them for 20,000 miles and never had a problem. I recently went up to a 36x13 r 20 on my leveled F-150 and the 2 inch wheel adptors wouldnt rit because the tires rubbed to bad.

I did go with 1/4 inch wheel spacers to clear the upper control arm. I have my 2 inch wheel adaptors sitting in the back seat of my truck if your interested in them. Here's a couple pics.

I want to see pics with 36's !

I do go off road frequently. Mostly sand driving if that matters. Thanks in advanced.
Don't be afraid to ask for pics. We like showing off!

I can almost 100% guarantee you won't have a problem with 1/4", I had to use a set up front to clear my control arms and had no problem for over 3 years of use.

Wheeladapter.com seems like a pretty legit guy, he's one of the only guys that I found online that makes them in the USA and they're hub centric. His prices are double most guys though but most guys aren't hub centric and are made in china(not necessarily a bad thing)

Ok I know I don't have the same year trucks as you guys but lemme put it this way, I have 6,000 miles on my 2 inch spacers with no problems.

There is absolutely no difference in a negative offset wheel and a spacer it puts the same stress on your components but nothing your truck can't handle.

My wheel 17x9 -12mm offset
Add 2inch spacers= just like adding -50mm of offset
A total of -62 mm of offset.

Kmc,fuel, bmf, pro comp etc. all make wheels with more offset than that, I've seen -96 on a 10inch wide wheel. I've seen trucks run 22x14 inch wheels no problem. Wheel spacers are 100% safe if torqued properly!

Correction, there IS a difference between a spacer and adapter. A spacer does NOT come with studs. An adapter does, and is not necessarily always used to change lug pattern. You can buy an adapter that is 6x135 TO 6x135. Adapters come with studs and are more safe due to the fact that added stress is not on the factory studs.

Hope that helps

I was confused because this is the first I've heard of spacers with studs being called adapters. I've been into tuning vw's since I was 17 and in the car tuning world spacers with or without studs are refferred to as spacers. Adapters are to only change the bolt pattern.

Those look really good, by any chance do you still have them or did you sell them? I'd definitely be interested as well...
