Default Wheel Offset Question

Anyone know the widest tire that can be run on 20x9 wheels? Probably going to buy some Ballistic Scythe wheels and currently running 275/65/20 on factory wheels but thinking of going wider tires (295 or 305's). I can get the wheels with -12mm or -25mm offset for a bit more $$. Just curious if that wide of a tire would fit nicely under the fenders with no turning issues. I have an Icon Stage-1 on the front and rear.

You can run as wide as a 12.50 with no problems on the rim, but to tuck it under the fender you'll need a positive offset. I have a 12.50 on a 9" wide rim with a 0 offset and still stick out 2" past the fenders

Grab a pencil in the middle while it is flat on a table. Twist it while keeping the middle in one spot. See how far the tip moves while turning...that is the "arc" that the outside of your wheel/tire combo moves at 0 degrees offset. now move to 3/4 of the pencil and do the same thing. The "arc" increases just like your wheel arc travel will increase. Just saying to be careful to keep in mind the increased wheel arc travel with changing offsets.

I'm putting a 305/55r20 on a 20x9 +35mm offset wheel. I'll let you know how it fits after they come in.

I have 305/55/20s with -12? offset, going on my 2012 in spring. Had them on my 07 which was 2.5" level and 3" block. Only rubbing was when backing into a parking space with the wheel cranked. No other problems.

My buddy has 325/55/18s not sure his offset but same deal as mentioned above
