I just got an auto-renew bill in the mail today for $52.59 for THREE MONTHS!!!
I called their 866 number right away and talked with some person in Bangladesh or Pakistan that I could hardly understand.
I asked to cancel our service and within a minute or two she came back on the line and offered me my old rate of $24.99 for six months, but added in the higher renewal rate (something like an additional $8.00) for the last week. I told her they would have to waive that to keep me as a customer and asked to cancel again.
In another minute she came back on the line and waived the higher rate fees for the last week.
Keep asking to cancel, folks!

Now it's been a while since I've paid full price and perhaps it's changed but the ONLY way you can have sirius service without auto renew is when you have complimentary first 6 months service after buying new vehicle or if you pay full price for service. If you get any sort of discounted price deal on service you will have auto renew and you cannot remove auto renew and retain service. It's simply not possible, it's fact. You can call them 100 times and ask, you will still have auto renew.
Your inability to read is quite impressive. That's twice now you've stated false information regarding my post.

If you are going to continue to attempt to participate, read my post again, And again, and then one more time until you get it right.

1. I was pleasant and friendly until they lied to me the third time. I never said I got upset at anyone except the supervisor.

2. My auto renew is, in fact, removed. As I stated at the end of my post.

Good luck.

Ok, but as I recall they told you that the first time correct? And you didn't say you completely canceled service so I'm gonna have to put money on you still have auto renew if you had a discounted deal rate. If you are paying full price you may not have auto renew anymore. Please keep us informed when your service renews, thanks.

And if you actually did manage to get a deal price and have them disable auto renew the rest of us would really like to know, as you are the first person in history to accomplish that feat.

Yes they lied multiple times, I've called several times randomly since then to ask them the status of my account. Since the supervisor call, they've told me auto renew was disabled and they asked me each time if I wanted it enabled again.

It ended Friday and they did not renew it.

Haha, OK. I think i misunderstood you and you possibly misunderstood me. I wasn't meaning that if you got the deal you had to auto renew at full price when it was over. I was under the impression you were just signing up for service and were trying to get the discounted deal price without having it auto renew or trying to cancel auto renew a month in and keep service the remaining 5 months at the deal price or something, which you cannot do. You have to cancel typically at the end of the term before it auto renews at which time you can either completely cancel or get another deal if you want to keep service. I didn't realize you were at the end of your contract. You did it correctly and I misunderstood you, that's how everyone does it. I apologize for the confusion. My fault. Still i think you may have tried to cancel a tad early and wanted them to run it out to the expiration date or something which explains why you had to call 4 times, typically when you cancel it ends your service right then but apparently you got a couple more days out of it. I guess I've never cancel canceled, I always re up on my 70$ a year deal which is more up to 110 a year after taxes and travel link, but still quite cheap if you ask me, lol

Yeah, I called a week in advance, however I learned that they charged me in advance of my service actually running out by 7 days. Shady.

Best deal for me was the boat I bought 4 years back. Still has Sirius and either the previous owner had purchased a lifetime policy or maybe he is still paying for the service.
Either way, I don't really care about it. Cancelled Sirius on my car after the 6 months intro expired.
Sirius had as many or more commercials as my favorite local free station.
Ipod or USB is much better - no commercials, hear what you like.
No fees!!!

Sweet deal, lol! The music channels have no commercials but the talk channels are very bad, like 3/4 advertising I swear! I blame sterns 500 mil deal for being the cause. They never should've paid him that much. That's where the 45 min pause feature comes in handy though. Pause and then ff through ads, haha! shame not all ford radios have it. My 2010 f150 didn't and I was pissed. 2013 f350 does and every portable I've ever had did. Check out channel 41 2pm-6pm weekdays central time for the Jason Ellis show, frankly the main reason I have sirius. He's hilarious! 1000x better than stern

I just got an $89.00 price for renewal yesterday. Paying by check again. $102.00 total or so with taxes, charges and BS.

As it was 4 years ago, I do not remember what channels I had been listening to - a couple of rock or country music and a couple of comedy. All had commercials that were just too frequent and too long. No reason to be paying for those commercials.
Might just give Justin Ellis a try. Will be at the lake tomorrow.
