Default What size tire and rim on stock height?

Hello all, I'm going to be getting a 2011 F-150 XLT supercrew 4x4 fairly soon and have already started shopping for rims/tires. I'm only going to be keeping this truck for about 2 years so don't want to go too crazy. Don't plan on doing a level because of the terrible angles you get. CAN YOU FIT LT275/65R18 tires on a 18x9 rim with 0 offset? If not what's the largest tire I can fit with an 18x9 rim with 0 offset?

Thank you,
Nick

I believe a 0 offset is equal to 5" backspacing.

275/60r18 is the stock tire size. It should fit on a 0 offset 18x9, but it isn't going to look good. 0 offset with small tires will look silly. A level kit is $100-200, or $350 if you go with shocks. Not going crazy at all. The angles are not bad, plenty of us are running 2.5" no problems and don't plan on selling the truck after 2 years. Hell selling after 2 years should give you even more of a reason to level.

You won't have any problems on a level up to 2.5". If you're going to run 0 offset, do yourself a favor and level it and throw some bigger tires on it. If not go with a more positive offset.

Agreed, at first I didn't even want to do wheels and tires on the truck, but I don't think I'll be able to drive around in a stock 150 for 2 years. I have a level on my truck now and it has destroyed 2 sets of hubs in 60k miles. Maybe I'll just have to do the level and throw 33x12.5x18 with a -12 or -24 offset. Why would I want a positive offset? Personally I think the truck looks better with the wheels sticking out.

Also 275/65R18 is basically a 32x11x18 not much smaller than the 33.

I meant positive offset if you went with the 275/65r18. With poke, it looks silly if the tires are small.

Personally I don't think the leveling kit is why you went through 2 sets of hubs in 60k miles, unless you were offroading a lot and/or drove with unbalanced wheels, crappy roads, etc. I've had stock vehicles go through wheel bearings just as quickly as that.

You probably won't fit 33x12.5 on a -24 offset, and maybe not even a -12 (not sure). Plus 33x12.5 on any more than 0 offset starts to have that "skating" look, which you may or may not like. I personally don't.

I'm running 20x9 295/60r20 toyo mt. Roughly 34.2"x11.8" and this is my poke before new flares:

And no flares. As you can see it sticks out quite a bit.

I'd stick with 33x12.5 on a 0 offset with a leveling kit. Will stick out a tad bit more than this and I'm assuming you don't have stock flares either, so add another 1/2" of poke.

I see what you're saying now with the smaller tires. Don't do much offroading, plus I get my wheels balanced at least once a year. Not too sure why I went through 2 sets.My buddy has 2.5" level with 18x9 running a -12 offset I believe. I don't really mind the skating look. Maybe If I go with the wheels and tires I might as well just do the leveling kit too. Trying to through the least amount of money at this thing as possible(I know that's hard with wheels and tires). Did you have to trim at all with your setup?

Thanks,
Nick

For sure man! If you're gonna do it, go all in. The cost of a leveling kit is nothing compared to the badass look you'll get. I know what you're saying about the money, but I think it'll look really nice on 33x12.5r18 0 offset 18x9. I personally would have ran that setup but I wanted 20s and 33s were just too small for the 20s in my opinion.

Check out customwheeloffset.com and put the specs you want

I had to trim the lower valence and cut the wheel well liner. And then I had to cut about 1/4-1/2" worth of metal body . I had already spent around $3000 on wheels and tires alone so it was too late to turn back but luckily it wasn't too bad. I just got a dremel and turned the wheels where it hit and cut it away. Then used a grinder to smooth it out and then painted it with primer to stop any rust.

But I don't think you have to touch anything besides the lower air valence with what you're doing
