This loud grinding noise happens for about 8 seconds when i start the truck an put it into drive. and then if the truck is idling it comes on for roughly 8 seconds every now and then :S really embarrassing and everyone stares does any one have any idea what this is ?

No idea. Just a shot in the dark

 

sounds like a bad idler pulley or fead. open hood and have someone crank engine and see if belt is jumping around. probably on does when you start and engine rpms go up and stops when idle rpms come down without a load.

No the steering knock I have had in and the dealership says they can't recreate it to "wait till it gets worse " how ever it only happens when it is below -5

This noise happens on and off when the truck I idling and is very loud to the point where everyone looks.

It's disappointing the problems I'm having and the truck is only at 80,000 km when I took them in @55000 km the dealership can never find the issue my 2007 e-250 has had less problems and it just turned 190,000 km
