WRH, I feel your pain man, sorry to see that! I'm dealing with a hit and run situation. Wife and I went to a concert and the next day I discovered that the guy next to me pulled in wide and scratch the front bumper area and my wheel! They actually were leaving as we walked up...missed em by 15 seconds!
Insurance is paying for this one, using Allstate and since we haven't had a claim in over 5 years the deductible is dismissed and no increase on coverage per our plan...so I lucked out on that one. Still a pain and anger towards someone not respecting property!

Kickin it
I had a similar thing happen with a hit and run deal with my 13 mustang in a parking lot. Came out to my car and the bumper was hanging off and the fender banged in along with my wheel all scratched up.
Was about $1800 in damage, but he gave me a steal and did it half off for my prior military service. Was supposed to sell the car the day it happened so I had to postpone that too

Not that this was a young person that did this - but more than likely. There was a time when most all younger people respected all adults. If an adult saw someone out of line, they would usually speak out to correct the situation. The adult did not have to be the young persons parent. It was just a way of life and a better time. The times have changed. Now there are so many parents that do not care what there kids are doing. Adults no longer can correct the young ones of others. Just too liberal and not enough discipline for the younger generation. These conditions are getting worse - not better.
I'm sorry that happened to you OP. Karma's gonna make it right for you, real soon.

I hate seeing that ****, it's just as bad as someone hitting your car and not leaving insurance or anything just leaving. It's ridiculous! I'm a younger guy(23)and I was brought up with the mentality of always showing respect to other peoples property and to my elders. It's just ridiculous

I feel for all you guys/gals that also have met with coming out to your car/truck only to find the scum of society has left you with a "gift" to deal with. This is where you get to say Merry Christmas or Happy Birthday to yourself since the $$ goes to fix that. Oh well, it could always be worse so I will get it fixed and move on and hope karma comes around quickly to those bat rastards.

Yup. That would be the last time that dumb mother****er keyed anybody's car if I caught him.
