Default What grade gas do you use?

Regular unleaded? Is it ok to use Premium in your truck?

I use the one recommended in the owners manual for normal use, which is regular. Premium gives you a little bump in power and some advocate it's use when towing in the mountains for example. To me it seems like a waste of money on this vehicle, it's designed to operate on 87.

I've been using 87 octane since new and try to stay with Shell..Chevron or lately Valero. I always get a receipt in case of any problems with the fuel so at least I have some proof.

The difference between premium and regular per fill up is what, a couple bucks? Worth it to me for full power.

I'm using what my manual recomends. 87 octane regular grade and here in Canada it contains up to 10% ethonal.

I use 93 usually. It's not that much more than regular & I would rather have all the power I can get. Additionally it may get me better fuel mileage. All the gas here is E10 as well.

I use 91 which is the highest we have around here. Mainly for the placebo effect I guess...

I use the lowest octane I can in each vehicle that avoids ping. Except for my sportbikes and 350Z. Those I use premium.

I just ran a tank of 93 through mine last week and there was no noticeable difference to me... actually mileage on that tank was some of the worst I've had with this truck. I average about 30 gallons on each fill up and the difference per gallon between regular and premium is 35 cents; $10.50 may not be a bunch of money, but it's still a waste from what I can tell.
