Default What to do

I'm having a hard time finding a 2010 or newer black platinum that hasn't been in for tranny related services, I found 2 iin the last couple weeks and both have had warranty work. both trucks were under 20,000 kms so it makes me think the owner got a lemon and bailed because they're fairly new. As of now I have 2 choices, there's a 2011 plat loaded 5.0 with 24,000kms that was supposedly driven by the dealer owner going for $43,200 or I can custom order a 2012 5.0 platinum loaded for $51,000(Canadian), what do you guys suggest? I've driven both and I would prefer the Eco boost but I'm on the fence, the dealer selling me the new one is telling me the Eco boost has been problematic for him.

I guess it depends on how much you want to spend. Doesn't seem like a big enough discount on his demo truck.

For me, it would have to be 10,000 difference to make buying a used one worth it. Otherwise it's nice to have new and know how it's been treated. I am guessing the dealer wasn't nice to his, as he knows he was going to ditch it from the get-go.

And I am not getting into the EB vs 5.0 war. That my firend is up to you.

Have the dealer run a Carfax on the used trucks and see what the problem(s) have been...could have been windshield wiper motor or battery or flat tire that makes him say the Eco one was problematic for him OR it could be some real issue too! In the end it really is your choice...

PS. If the dealer did not license the truck and it was a demo the warranty would not start until they sold the truck.

Carfax only shows something if it was reported otherwise the dealer probably didn't submit anything if it wasn't licensed and only had dealer plates on it...they could be hiding something too....

Sorry for the confusion. There's nothing wrong with this used 2011, he sent me the oasis report. It was the first couple that had the tranny issues.
