Traded my 2011 Tacoma Double Cab TX/Pro 4x4 with 17,000 miles that I bought new in Sept of 2011. Really liked that truck, it did a lot of things pretty well, was a decent wheelin truck (factory electric locker, 3" OME lift, 33" BFG KM2s, sliders), pulled my Mustang and car trailer ok, was a fairly comfortable daily driver. Ultimately that was the problem though, because it was pretty good at a lot of things, it was also not really good at any one thing. The lift and tires made it pretty good offroad, but made long trips tiresome and compromised towing performance. Because it was small enough to fit on trails, the interior was cramped and the bed was tiny. I just decided it was too much compromise and I would rather have a truck that would be a nice daily driver, tow whatever I want, and just be a truck. I am already looking for an older Jeep so I can still go wheelin. Bought a loaded 13 XLT Ecoboost Screw 4x4 Offroad in Nov., very happy with it so far.
As you can see this is not my first Ford, in addition to the 1991 LX convertible in the picture, I have had the following Fords in the past.
1999 F250 XLT Superduty 4x4 Powerstroke
1997 F250 XLT 4x4 Powerstroke
1993 Ranger 4X4
1990 Bronco Eddie Bauer
1987 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe
1985 Mustang LX
I guess I really like my 4x4 Fords! I must admit that after driving the 2013 for the first time, even though it is much nicer than any of my previous trucks, it immediately felt very comfortable and familiar to me. Must be that Ford truck DNA.
