Wet no2 on 5.0
Hey fellas! I'm new on here and new to the 5.0. I just traded my diesel in on one. I had nitrous on my diesel and pulled it out before I traded it in and was thinking about putting it on the gasser. I'm wondering how much is a "safe" fuel and no2 jet size? I have -4an line, idk what size silonoid it is but it's just whatever the average is. All opinions welcome! Thanks!

? I was under the impression that wet no2 injection was a no no on a compression engine?
That said at the least you'd have to change nozzle size and the controller or its mapping.
Hope someone knows more as I've just bolted prebuilt kits into some cars.

Lol yes no2 on a diesel, dry though not wet, you cant run a wet system on a diesel. Propane is ok, but i didnt like it bc it burns sooo hot, anyway........ I don't wanna lean out my cylinders running a dry shot on the gas, so I wanna make it a wet kit. I know how to do all of that. I'm asking about the block, pistions, crank, ect. What will it hold up too? Would a 100hp shot be safe? I have no clue what the new 5.0's are capable of?

I say install it, take it to the track, have some one film the run, and then post the video. Don't do any research. Would make for an awesome video. Jk. Hope you figure everything out, but I'm serious on the video of you spraying it on the track. I'm sure the 5.0 would be a beast with some n02.

If your truck has the new 5.0, it is very different from the old single cam pushrod 5.0 of years past. I would start off very conservative with the spray.

In a boss 302 mustang of today is good to 444 hp from ford. If i remember right from the magazine. What gear you should spray and duration of shot for it i don't know. The 6 speed manu-matic trans i think is the same as what is in a super duty, so it should be ok with a small shot of spray. This is just an opinion. I am sure there are people on here who know more about it than me. Stock new 5.0 motor is 360 hp at 4250 rpm, add a 75 shot nos gets you to 435 hp. But if you like your motor still working, god's sakes take it easy until you get real data from someone who really knows. Good luck.

I agree with the wet shot. Id never run dry on anything. If a 2.2 sohc vtech honda motor can handle a 150 shot, im sure a 5.0 could handle a 100. But as mentioned starting off gently would be your best bet. What wet system do you have? I had zex with a ecu that kicked in at a selected rpm in every gear. It was an automatic. Im interested to see what you end u with. I have a 4.6 and im not happy with the power, or lack there of. I would like to have a little more and wet systems arent that expensive.
