Default Weird start up idle bog problem

Hey all
so I started up my truck tonight and it bogged out when I would hit the gas pedal .. a few times .. however it never died on me ..
then I turned truck off and tried again and the same thing happened ..
so I waited a couple minutes and tried again and no problems .. acted normally ..

whats up with that ?

My first thought is the Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM). Do you drive on salted roads in the winter? Thats the leading cause of death.

Its cold here, but there is never really any salt on our roads due to having mainly only rain in the winter months.

Any way of checking the fuel pump to find out ?

The biggest problem with the FPDM's is the back side corrodes through and water gets in. To check it, you have to drop the spare tire and unbolt it from the cross member. Somewhere along in the 11th gen. series, Ford quit mounting them directly to the frame and began installing spacers. This greatly reduced the problem but you may want to pull it off and look.
