Didn't really know what to search for so sorry if this has already been covered. Last night I was backing up to park and slid truck into drive and it was like it hit a false neutral or something and the low oil pressure light came on and the truck shut off. Started right back up but was weird and happened twice now. Anybody else had this happen?

 

Sounds like a loose ground. I think some folks have talked about this before.

 

kcb, I had a wierd thing with my XLT when it was new. On occasions when I turned left the engine would die away then come back. I was looking under the hood, and decided to check the fuses for lack of anything else to look for. Many of the fuses weren't seated all the way into the fuse box. I pushed them all down, and six months later the engine has not repeated the die out. Can't say for sure if this is what fixed the problem, but without doing anything else to the truck it looks promising. Just something to check. Good luck.

 

Hmm thanks y'all I'll check it out. And when I say it's happened twice, it happened in my work truck and my personal truck! Both 2011 xlt 5.0s!
