Default Weight distribution

What is the best weight distribution hitch to get to tow my toy hauler camper with my 2011 with Eco boost . The camper has a tongue weight of 1,200 pounds and a gvwr of 9,000 pounds my truck is rated to 9,700 so I think I'm ok as far as weight goes but I need a good WD system for sure ?

Better to ask this in the towing section. But with a 1200 lb tounge weight you are already over the trucks 1200 lb tounge weight limit for bumper pull because you still have to add the weight of the WDH to the tounge weight. You will likely be way over on your rear axle weight too.

If these are dry weights too you will be way way over on wet weight on the trailer.

Towing is way more than just the 9700 lb figure that the book says. All your axle weights and payload weights still have to be in spec. 9700 is max for everything being perfect which doesn't happen in the real world.

Instead of "thinking" you need to "know".
