Default Weep hole regret

I drilled the much debated weep hole in my 2013 Ecoboost. Now my truck sounds like a wet fart, and leaves oil spots everywhere I park. It runs no different, so I'm going to plug it as soon as I have time.

The choice is either that stuff is going through your engine/air intake or being sprayed out. I would rather not have it in my engine. It will eventually stop unless you live in an extremely humid climate and moisture continues to build up.

what size hole?

I drilled a small one as shown in the threads on here, put a drip pan under it for the night and havent noticed any spots since and didn't make any new noises either

Yeah, sounds like you drilled a large hole. Your 'output' will stop eventually, but all that crap in there is causing problems until it all blows out.

How long ago did you drill the hole? If recently I would suggest you deal with the noise until all that crap gets pushed out. After it stops you could always put a bolt in the hole. Hell you could even drill the hole bigger and tap it so you could install a small valve on it.

I drilled a 1/16" hole (I believe) in the cooler of my 2013 truck. It definitely expelled a lot of oily condensation at first, then slowed. I didnt notice any adverse effects of drilling the hole; no noise, no performance difference, etc. Id say you drilled too big a hole. I would drill and tap it to 1/8 NPT, plug it, and remove periodically.

I drilled it with with a 1/16 drill. Ran it hard for a few days, and then plugged it with a screw. The leakage did seem to subside, but felt there was a new bubbling noise-mainly at start up. I think I have some other issues going on to, so who knows about the sound I guess.

Is your coolant full to the max line? Check when cold.
