We got Hail
I have a 2-car garage AND a 35x40 shop and my truck still sits outside as did my previous trucks. However, if I hear reports of nasty weather I will pull it in - mainly for fear of a tree falling on it more than anything else.
i live in blue springs i feel for you. I know how that feels
the last storm we had last year oct mine which i only had for a month, got 8 little pings to the tune of $878.00, the body shop had the dent master take care of so no body or paint repaired. looked great couldnt even tell.
it was a whole lot better than someone else who just bought a cadilac that morning went to the show.. ended up with $11,000 damage..
with less than 200 miles on it.
geezzz this not right..... how is not having a garage going to make one paying higher premium. i bought the truck to drive, and to use. and like one stated garages arent as big as used to. i am glad you have yours but dont knock us that dont have a garage nor use one. we make our payments.
Since insurance is based on averages, people that keep their vehicle outside pay more for insurance than people that keep their vehicles in a garage. This is assuming you have more than just liability insurance.
I heard the way to try and repair this typ of damage is to get a hair dryer and some dry ice. Heat the panel with the hair dryer and then apply the dry ice. The sudden contraction of the steel will, in some case, pop the hail ding back out. It's worth a try.
I prefer to keep my cadillac and other toys out of the weather. I never have parked my trucks inside. If I know it's going to hail I park it in our shop and drive the trusty cummins home, but when I don't my truck sits outside. I just told my agent I park it in the garage to get a lower premium..... Ha j/k
Never heard of that before, definitely worth a try.
What the hell is with the green C4? Tell me that is bad lighting or that you did not paint it that color on purpose.
